Meet one of our partners

Our founder Raul first traveled to Uganda with GO Overflow in October 2018 and was moved by seeing the impact of child sponsorship first hand. Upon returning, he knew BBfL could do more and a partnership began.

GO Overflow is a non-profit organization bringing relationships, love, and resources to the most vulnerable communities across several nations. By creating opportunities for people, passion, and partnerships to GO, children and families who once suffered from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty are experiencing overflow.

Plagued by poverty and born with only one eye, Rebecca was very shy and ridiculed by other children in her village. Being a sponsored child has transformed Rebecca’s life through love and acceptance. She was brought to a Christian school where she began to learn about God’s plan for her life! Today, she is empowered, outgoing, and knows she has the same potential as the other children. She even leads the school’s choir with her beautiful voice!

Michael, age 8
When Michael’s parents passed away, he and his brother lived with their grandfather, but he would often leave the boys to find work. Just 3 and 5 years old, they would often be left to care for themselves and without food until a pastor found the boys. Since being sponsored, Michael and his brother are excelling in school, in relationship with their grandfather and village community. They are filled with new joy and excitement for their future!

Nakato & Sumata, age 7
Nakato and her twin sister Sumata were living with their single mother, who one day left to look for work, and never came home. They stayed with an older sister, until she too left them alone. A local minister found the girls living alone, and in partnership with GO Overflow arranged for sponsorship, and eventually they were adopted into a loving family. The girls are healing from their hurts, and are embracing school and living with joy!
